Kathy Silva  was married to Bob Silva

They had 2  Girls Dee Dee Silva and Kelly Silva.

Anita Allen  was Kathy's eldest daughter  I believe Anita  had a different dad.

I first met them in the Theater family, Kathy was the theater book keeper and Bob was the Projectionist.

I was hired  to replace Bob . Apparently Bob had become unreliable due to excessive drug use. however Boob was a very good projectionist and had his technical knowledge down pat.

Bob was the Guy who showed me the ropes on my first few nights at the theater.

Bob soon faded away from the Theater  to parts and activities unknown.

Kathy had a great smile and strong personality . (on the outside )

Kathy  helped me along in life in so many ways. She was  very wise about money and  practical life.

we maintained our friendship through thick and thin until she died in 2007.

Trivia Kathy's brother Al was the drummer in the cafe cantata scene in the film Bullit.

Kathy was always there for me as a friend.

I felt "guilty" when her daughter Anita  and I became romantically involved.

Anita deserves a lot of her own story. She  had some issues with drugs and  men and life choices but from all I have seen decided to pull herself up and straighten out.

Dee Dee  ? a tragedy who went off the deep end in Berkeley  lots of stories I have chosen not to remember. In any event I believe she was committed.

Kelly was a very cute later stunning beauty . who was extremely intelligent and  her mom's pride and joy. THe First time I saw "Kelly" was in very pregnant  Kathy's tummy

the last time I saw Kelly was at her mom's wake  where it seemed she had taken a dip into a less healthy life style.

Perhaps substance abuse has some genetic relationship. In any event I hope Kelly has seen herself out of her mess. she has all the intellectual capacity.

Kathy was a heavy smoker.. She would get combative when anyone tried to talk to her about her smoking. I quit smoking and was very proud of the accomplishment.  Kathy would actually engage with me in some conversations about smoking. I always came from a perspective of caring and loving.

At her 60th birthday  2004-5? we talked about retirement and her dreams. She had worked very hard and bought a nice house and  said she wanted to move to Portugal.  As I visited her  she  was dying  of lung cancer in the hospital I could hardly not think of her dreams and how they were not going to happen.  Sad time I still miss her.

Kathy did my income taxes until a month before she passed. she always gave me smart advice on  managing my money.

Kathy introduced me to  serious Jazz music. Carmen McCray and so many others Miles Davis. Kathy often talked about going to a Russian River Jazz festival regularly.   She liked Sports cars and had a nice 60's Yellow MGB convertible  Like most MG's keeping them in tuning condition was a nearly impossible task.

43 Miramar.

Neighbors for all he time we lived on Miramar.

Jackie Charles MacNeil and their kids

Chuckle and Stephanie

Black Couple great Neighbors. Jackie ran an in home beauty salon. It was downstairs and hasd a side entrance. a small room off the basement.

When my Mom started Working Jackie watched us after school until parents came home.

Originally  the Mac Niels came from Texas

Charles worked  on Alcatraz at the Prison.

Stephanie is my age and Chuckle a few years younger.

They were very religious Catholics.

Jackie  was a wonderful woman who really cared for me and would make special efforts for me on my Birthdays  she made the best Lemon Merang pies which were my favorite.

I spent many afternoons reading Jet magazine in her salon.. Often there were  young girls there about my age , they would use me as a hair care test dummy . I got so many shampoos  I must have had the best hair.

In my opinion the MacNiels were  a dignified family doing fail well in the 50's and 60's Conscious aware and active but not radical.

One of Charles pet peeves was to have a perfect Tee shirt. if he got even a tiny hole he threw it away and got a new one.

Jackie came to my Dad's Funeral in 2002 and I saw her again at one of our family Thanksgiving dinners  early 200's at Anita's. Jackie mentioned that she was not well. and passed away about a year later.  I believe she is Buried in Colma.

Chuckle surprisingly turned out to be Gay. I thought this was pretty odd given he was a Catholic and apparently working in the church.
